The growing season has gone and the harvest season is winding down. We have stopped our rotational grazing for the winter and are again allowing the livestock to roam freely. Hens that once laid up to three dozen eggs per day are now laying less than one dozen. Morning chores are done in the dark and there is very little daylight left for evening chores.
We still have several lambs available for sale. We are selling our grass-fed lamb for $2.00/pound liveweight, plus the butcher fee. They are scheduled for the butcher on November 30.
We also have plenty of chicken available for sale. We sell them as whole chickens for $4.00/pound. We have small chickens (averaging three pounds) and larger chickens (averaging five pounds) available. These chickens were raised on pasture and supplemented with organic grain.
